Poppies is a band from New York City. Apparently there's another Poppies from Wales.
One of Wales' most popular Welsh language bands of the moment, this three-piece indie band are a cult favourite within the Welsh indie-rock scene known for their driving fast paced performances and eccentric front man. The Poppies are bound to be likeable by Welsh and Non Welsh language indie-rock fans alike.
Sam James and Gethin Jones were friends since the age of six, and having met Austin in an Aberystwyth pub, the three moved to Cardiff to work on the band on a full-time basis.
They are managed by ex-Catatonia man Owen Powell.
