New single is pretty good. Different than expected, Chris's vocals are always changing, I kind of love it.

My read on it is that it's about coming to terms with the inherent destruction of humanity and making a conscious decision to not engage on its terms.

Show was canceled before I could even get to the event so sad it would be nice just to see them live just 1 time

You pretty much have to have (the ticket page) loaded up well before the tickets go on sale. Even then, good luck.

Propagandhi was always political. It's clear on their first song on their first album. "We strive for something more than a faded sticker on a skateboard". With song title like "Stick The Fucking Flag Up Your Goddamn Ass, You Son Of A Bitch" talking against nationalism. I don't think you've paid attention to their lyrics.

Saw them playing on a boat in NYC a few weeks back, during which Todd accidentally punched a hole in the ceiling. Phenomenal show.

Honestly, I was a little disappointed the first time I heard the new album for I thought they went a bit too soft approach to my tastes, I missed Todd's screaming and the hardcore riffs a lot, heh. But after the endless loop I've been running past days, I've grown addicted so much to the new amazing riffs and their ability to produce such distinct music, technically as well as lyrically, compared to any other punk band out there, I'm completely overwhelmed. This album is so great that I can almost compare its greatness to their "best mankind creation" --> Potemkin City Limits. Almost. =) Definitely recommending! For you lazy/later supporters, here's the lyrics: https://propagandhi.com/music/victory-lap . Punk on!

Haha, that would be end of the world I guess. =) No, what I meant was he is not singing that many songs on this one as he was on the previous ones (only Nigredo I think?) and his songs were always the ones more hardcore oriented. I missed this at the beginning of listening to this album.

He also sings on When All Your Fears Collide. The record is a bit soft for my taste upon first listening (finally had the time to pick it up today), but most of the albums took me some time to get into and then I can't stop listening anymore. The exceptions being the title track and In Flagrante Delicto, pretty much enjoying those instantly and effortlessly.

Wouldn't expect anything less from these legends. One of the best bands of our era period. Some of the most heartfelt punk you will probably ever hear, forever.

Had a quick listen at the album before it arrives tomorrow and *whispers* "it might be the best thing they've done". AOTY, GOAT and all the acronyms and accolades. Can't wait to dive into those deep lyrics.

Time to rinse Failed States again in preparation for the arrival of the AOTY. Couldn't get into Failed States last time I tried; it's too damn fast and technical! And I'm a metal fan. Anyway. bring it on!

Same here, it's like a further distilled version of Supporting Caste; angrier, heavier, faster.

Victory Lap is going to be exactly that. The champions of punk (/prog/thrash) showing us how it's done.

Good to see Propagandhi are generating healthy debate, even on their not-much-given-a-fuck-about last.fm page. Keep truckin'.

> HoxtonTom Possibly the lamest punk band ever. Well sir you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. It's either 'the lamest band ever' , or you just don't like them. I doubt you've heard every punk band so fuck off. Also, have you bothered to read their lyrics? Some of the best words i've heard any band speak.

Honestly, one of the only 90s punk bands that is still making not only relevant music, but BETTER music than most other bands out there (thrash or punk). Failed States and Supporting Caste are astounding albums from the guitar riffs to the lyrics. Chris even has gotten better on vocals as he's gotten older. Also, they STILL don't take themselves seriously.

This stuff doesn't get any less relevant does it? Supporting Caste still one of my favourite albums ever.
