Biography
Psychoblast is a Colombian alternative rock band from Bogotá. They were formed in 2011 by singer-guitarist Camilo Díaz, lead guitarist Paula Rodríguez, and bass player Jose Luis Saldaña. Jose and Camilo had already played together in a grunge punk band called Zero, a project they founded in 2004. In October 2011, drummer Juan David Rodríguez joined them, and the band started playing in different bars and festivals in the city. Juan only stayed with the band for a couple of months, and after leaving the band he was replaced by Sergio Camacho.
In April 2012, Psychoblast recorded their first EP called Electric Mind. The EP contains 4 songs: Useless, Cigarette Burn, Evil Eye, and Blast. The sound of the band has been influenced by different rock styles like punk, grunge, and alternative rock, which can be seen in their debut work, which was produced by Edwin Ardila, one of the best producers in the Indie and rock scene in Colombia.
