Biography
Puffyshoes is consisting of two girls, Neko Meows and Usagi Hops from Tokyo.
They released cassettes and CDs from labels in Canada, France and Japan as soon as joined Puffyshoes in early 2009. They sound so simple, crunchy chords with deep reverb and tiny drum kit beating out loud, but it's really sweet and pop.
Their debut was a part of the show curated by Afrirampo in September 2009, then they shared the stages with many bands that were not only pop bands like Puffyshoes also hardcore, grindcore and noise. That helped them become sorta controversial and popular in the underground and hip music communities.
This year 2011 Puffyshoes went to Austin, Texas, yes, SXSW and played at some showcases and did a session for a college radio. Finally The Weekend, third album, began to be sold on cassette limited to 30 over there and now it's sold out. Don't worry CD version of it will be out this coming June. Please wait for a while.
