Having released two tracks from the project prior, his debut EP offers his full perspective on love as being 'cyclic' and ‘transformative’ in nature. In his words, “the EP emphasises that as far away as I stray from myself in pursuit for love/happiness in cold, inattentive bodies, I will undoubtedly find the deepest solace within my own body and not of others – a lesson and journey I’ve tried to sonically reflect within the six tracks”. Qeeran notes that the project draws major influence from artists such as Alina Baraz, dvsn, Frank Ocean and Jhené Aiko, artists he praises as being ‘pivotal’ to the evolution of his love for emotional and intimate R&B.
Malaysian-born, Melbourne-based singer, songwriter and producer Qeeran is an independent artist carving his sonic footprint within the lines of R&B/Soul. Migrating to Australia in 2006, he holds a musical background spanning upwards from the age of 5; with his discography influenced by the likes of Galimatias, Alina Baraz and SG Lewis. While also studying in the field of Econometrics/Business Analytics at Monash University, Qeeran manifests his artistry and musicianship within his self-produced and self-written tracks.
