Songs were recorded from late 2006 under many different names, and many home demos were made in early 2007.
An EP was released on iTunes in May of 2009, it contained 4 tracks, 2 were re-recorded old demos, and 2 were new tracks.
The name Quartermaine was taken from one of the bands favourite fictional characters Alan Quartermain, from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
They play a mixture of rock, pop, acoustic and post punk, with various influences of everything inbetween.
The band have progressed massively since their start, releasing songs, playing gigs and developing their sound.
