Probably my favorite rage album, a close contender with battle of Los Angeles

Incredible album, much better than the debut, which says a lot considering how damn good that album is already

Their most raw, edgy and aggressive album by far, while (at the same time) being the most experimental. It's also their less "rock"/"guitar" album and the most "rap"/"hip-hop", so I understand the polarizing love/hate comments. Truth is, while I don't listen to rap or hip-hop at all, I truly believe this is their best effort.

Bulls on Parade feels overplayed, but I really enjoy the rest of the album. Lots of sick riffs and powerful moments by Morello and company here. Of course, I won't say it's better than the first album or Battle of Los Angeles, but I would say the production is the best of them all.

true it's sandwiched in between two classics... it still doesn't stick.. for me at least...

It's funny, at first I didn't think much of this album. Sandwiched between two amazing albums, it felt underwhelming. But then something happened, gradually, and now I think it's my favorite of theirs.

It was the first album by RATM that I got to know and I still think it is their best effort by far.

The same happened to me, at first I think, I don't like it as much as the others. Then I re-listened to it now and it was like, holy fuck, it was always this good?

I agree with everyone who says this is their best album! It is easily their best for me. Their underrated classic :)

@Soundservant - Never claimed it needed it or anything. Someone just mentioned it, and I thought it could be interesting. I agree with you though. Evil Empire is probably my favourite album of all time, and is perfect as it is. Still, as i said, it could be fun to see what a remastered version could do with it.

"A remastered version of this and their s/t could be fun :)" This does NOT need a remaster! It sounds so great already and a remaster will only make it worse.
