Biography
Short lived cheshire psychedelic indie combo The Ragid FRG produced the, arguably seminal, but little known LP "We Aim To Please" in the early 90s. The album featured the tracks "Kite"; a metaphysical meditation on the changing colours of a kite, "Ammonia" a stark warning against the use of drugs, (available in school science labs), and "Billabong" a postmodern freeform journey down under. The original 4 piece lineup infamously eschewed guitars featuring, drums, bass, keyboards and vocals, following the first record the original line-up split, reforming for a one off live performance, with a new, 5 piece line-up, including a replacement vocalist, and guitarist. The band premiered new material for the live show, including "Dwayne's Lookout On Life" (a sequel to "Dwayne's 60s Emporium" from the first LP), "Slaves" and, penned especially for the festive performance; "Khristmas Kaper". Rumours of a reformation still persist, but the band have not been spotted altogether since 1992.
