Record/Start release the ultra limited cassette debut double A side single 'Rock From Afar / Followay' on 20 February via POST/POP RECORDS. Available to pre-order from www.postpoprecords.com from mid Feb.
Simon was the singer/songwriter for Manchester alternative band Carlis Star who performed at SXSW, received regular national BBC and XFM Radio play, toured nationally and performed at leading summer festivals around the UK. They were featured as an NME Radar band and performed several national NME tour dates including headlining their farewell show at the legendary 1500 capacity KOKO venue in London.
Now residing in Brighton (UK) Record/Start was created by Simon. Record/Start have received glowing press in 2014 for the tracks Rock From Afar, Followay and Electric Minds, receiving international radio play and features in established music magazines and blogs.
Simon writes, records and produces all Record/Start material.
