Red Monika Have always been dedicated to the Art Form Soaking Influences from a variety of sources including Computer Games, (Street Fighter 2, Golden Axe, Super Pang, etc.) Comic Characters, (Spider Man, Spawn, Ninja Turtles etc.) Japanese Anime, (Akira, Gundam, Dragon Ball etc.) Documentaries, (Wild Life, Universe, Crop Circles etc.) to Bands, (Gorrilaz, Radio Head, Beatles) Skateboarding, Parkour, Cheeba, Girls and much more. There arn't too many things we enjoy more than sitting around, Talking Shit (about Any or All of the above) and passing a Doob before hitting the studio to either Jam, Record, Write or produce our Music. Its wicked to share the richness of our friendship through the collabaration in Music! —– back to ( 98' ) —— We each finished up high school fronting our own Bands: Side Tracked, Pyrotism, and Corky's New Spud Gun, we were all Guitarist/Vocalists Which is how we first came to know one another —– Fans of Eachothers Bands —– We all felt we were sharing the same Energy and heading the same direction —— We tried alot of shit before we found something that worked!! ——- From The Moment We began Assembling Tracks using Digital Editing Equipment, (Pro Tools, Audition, etc ) combined with the traditional way we'd been writing songs, (playing the shit live) Red Monika was Formed! From then we each had our own home Studio Set ups where any one (or combo) of us could be, writing, producing, recording or working on some of tha new shit —— Weve always enjoyed Singing and Rapping, so we push for strong vocal pressence in our music, ——- We spent the next period of time getting Ultra Productive to try and pull enough songs together for Live Shows, and then it was into producing the songs for the Album, and about 2 years and a shit load of shows later We play Red Monika's CD Launch! (Street Fighter 2 Up on the projecter was said to be a highlight for members of the crowd) ——— IT was a fuckin Mad Night For all who attentded!! ——— It would seem in the comming months we had too much time on our hands and eventually we were driven Mad! ——— Although we Never said we wouldnt write songs again, for the next year we took time off from the band, and put our energy's elsewhere! ——- Starting to itch for it we figured… …there's no real reason we couldnt have a Jam get pissed blaze a Dubee say Fuck It, and have a great fucking Time! So here we are, A year Later, and unless Tradgedy strikes we shall write again!! ——————- Heres to the Future Friends!!!
