Reg Lindsay, who died at the age of 79 in August 2008, was the premier international star to emerge from the Australian country music renaissance that followed the Second World War and the first Aussie to appear on Nashville’s fabled Grand Ole Opry. Such was Reg’s standing in Music City, USA, that he was also awarded his own plaque on Nashville’s prestigious Walkway Of The Stars.
