Biography
Regina Song Hwee Nee (born 16 February 2004) is a Singaporean singer-songwriter who debuted in 2021. Following the release of her debut album "fangirl," she gained over 2.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with her song "the cutest pair" reaching the top of the Recording Industry Association Singapore (RIAS) charts.
Song was born in Singapore in 2004. Influenced by her parents' musical background, she began learning piano at the age of six. In 2017, she enrolled in the School of the Arts, Singapore. In 2020, after turning 16, she took a gap year to begin songwriting and worked part-time to fund her music production, which reportedly cost between S$800 and S$1,200 per song. She graduated in 2022 with a major in classical piano.
Song is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in music at the University of the Arts Singapore as part of its inaugural cohort.
