Since their inception in 2009, singer Brett Maxwell, drummer tjdivers, bassist Jimmy H and guitarist Jordan Quigg have carved a niche all for themselves.
Sitting somewhere between the melodic and earnest emotional punk of Hot Water Music & Alkaline Trio, the yearning heartfelt epic scope of Sunny Day Real Estate, the darker, bass heavy rumblings of Glassjaw and the genre ignoring musical gymnastics of Fugazi, Release the Bees combine intensely personal lyrics with powerful, driving rhythms and a fiercely independent approach to writing, recording and performing.
