b. 1947. A musician (keyboards), singer, arranger and producer from Vienna.
In 1975 he published together with Manuel Rigoni the rock opera Victor, opulently illustrated on a double LP. In 1978, Victor, directed by Walter Bockmayer and Rolf Bührmann, was filmed for television.
Richard Schönherz worked as a composer and producer for Andre Heller, Wolfgang Ambros, Erika Pluhar, the pop group Supermax, and as creator of the Rilke Project and the subsequent Hesse project. He also twice the Austrian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest.
