Feathergun is the 3rd full length album from 4-piece Seattle Progressive Rock band Rishloo. Released near the end of 2009, Feathergun remains yet another step forward from their sophomore release: “Eidolon”, as many fans cite Feathergun as the band’s strongest album. This album was also the last before Rishloo’s brief disbandment in 2012 (only to reform and release “Living As Ghosts with Buildings as Teeth” a couple years later). Dave Gillett’s use of Delay, Volume sweeps, Pitch shifting, Wah, and many other guitar effects is possibly the most prominent its ever been, and it creates a distinctly euphoric mood that’s almost reminiscent of Pink Floyd. This album also marks vocalist Drew Mailloux’s most polished and impressive vocal performance yet, as he hits notes most of us can only dream of here. To summarize: Feathergun was a monumental release and a big step forward from anything Rishloo had done prior.
Lineup:
Drew Mailloux - Vocals
Dave Gillett - Guitar
Sean Ryndquist - Bass
Jesse Smith - Drums
