Roger Lynch Troutman Jr. AKA Lynch, or Roger Lynch. Born in 1970 in Minisoeta to Roger Lynch Troutman, and Brenda Lynch Troutman.
He joind Zapp in 1987 and learned the talkbox and was on tour with his father for two years. In 1989, he made his first solo album on Capitol records entitled, "A pinch of Lynch."
There was one single released from it. It was entitled, "I found out."
He never got air play on comercial radio like his father but that does not mean he stopped trying in the world of music. For years after that, he worked on a band he started known as, "Mint condition."
He was the keyboard player. He started this band in 1990 and they were produced by Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis. We didn't hear the talkbox again from him until Mint Condition's album in 1996.
He left Mint Condition and still worked with Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis until his father's death in 1999.
He put out a second solo album in 2000 on an indipendant record label in L.A known at that time as "World wide wild style records."
The title of the album was called, "The second coming."
IT released two singles from the album, they were, "Beautiful lady, and So ruff, so tuff."
"Beautiful lady" featured "Charlie Wilson" from the "Gap band."
The song "Can you deal with this" was not only featured on his album as an instrumental, but was on C-Bo's 2001 album "West Coast Mofia." C-bo's version included the rap lyrics for the song. Bigg Lurch also makes an appearance for that song as well. In 2002 Too Short worked with Roger Troutman II on a song called, "Get that cheese." That was the last recording that was heard by anyone. Before his death in 2003, a group known as "Kali's Finest" worked with him on two songs. They were, "Slide by R way, and Industry pimpin." These songs would not be released until after his death in 2003. "Kali's Finest" album was entitled "Time 2 boss up" and it was released in 2004.
Roger Troutman II was seriously injured and suffered a head injury that led to him being in a coma. He passed away on January 22nd, 2003. He was only 32 years old. He had two children.
