Ronnie McDowell is an American country singer. He is best known for his 1977 country pop crossover hit "The King Is Gone", a tribute to Elvis Presley. He had two number one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart with "Older Women" in 1981 and "You're Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation" and 1983.
