Rosalyn Tureck (December 14, 1914 - July 17, 2003) was an American pianist and harpsichordist who was particularly associated with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Trained at the Julliard School, Tureck was early devoted to Bach and went on to become a highly esteemed performer and musical scholar. Other mainstay composers in Tureck's repetoire included Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, and Frédéric Chopin. In addition, Miss Tureck championed contemporary music, often playing the works of David Diamond, Luigi Dallapiccola, and William Schuman.
