Biography
Ruby Gill (born in Johannesburg) is a South Africa-born singer-songwriter currently based in Melbourne, Australia. She was awarded The Sunday Times "Breaking Act" (UK) and the "Emerging Artist of the Year" at Port Fairy Folk Festival and has received nominations for The Australian Music Prize (Mercury equivalent) and Best Folk Work at the Music Victoria Awards.
At the age of 14, Gill released her first album Breath in C Minor. and followed that with To Risk Our Hearts late in 2013, with the first single off the album being Three Sixty Five.
Her debut LP ‘I’m gonna die with this frown on my face’ was released in 2022.
