Rumill

Rumill is a 17 year old Pop/Hip-Hop/R&B American Recording Artist who currently resides in Irving, TX. Her birth name is Rumill DeWon Batts. She was born October 2, 1994 in Memphis, TN. After her parents divorced, Rumill and her mother relocated to the Dallas, Texas area in 2002. Rumill is the flagship artist for Millhouse Records.

At birth doctors proclaimed that Rumill would be a singer due to the octave range she exercised when she cried! Rumill began piano lessons at age 8 and played percussion through out her middle school years 2007. At 13, she joined a couple of classmates to form the female singing trio called 3*4*1; meaning three girls for one purpose . Due to adolescent growth spurts, the girls' interest spewed into different directions and caused the group to disburse within less than a year 2007. But Rumill had been bitten by the entertainment bug and did not want to give up on her dream to become a recording artist. Things took a turn when Rumill received a brand new Yamaha Keyboard for Christmas in 2008. This is when she discovered her knack for songwriting 2010. At the age of 15, Rumill put her songwriting skills with producer/bass player Bryan Nesbitt of the legendary R&B group the Bar-Kays and co-producer Marc Da 3rd of Nu South Music in Atlanta to create her debut release, ‘Not the 1 for me’; making her one of the youngest songwriters of today! Not the 1 for me is from the self titled debut album, Rumill.

Rumill attended Coppell High School in Coppell, TX from 2009 - 2011. During her sophomore year, Rumill enrolled into a home school program to complete high school early to fully devote her time and energy to her recording career. In the spring of 2011, during her sophomore year, Rumill enrolled in a home school program at Southeastern High School and completed the course summer 2011. Rumill's musical influences include Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Beyonce`, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Trey Songs, and Alicia Keys.
