"Cinderella Man" is the fourth track off of Canadian progressive rock trio Rush's 1977 album A Farewell to Kings. The song was written by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, with the lyrics written entirely by Lee. This song is loosely based on the movie called Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, starring Gary Cooper as a man from a small town who inherits money and moves to the big city. It has also been reported to be loosely based on the comic Mandrake the Magician. It is notable as one of the few Rush songs for which Neil Peart did not write the lyrics since his entry into the band.
