Ruud Bos (born 8 February 1936 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands) composes music for movies, theatre and television. He composed for the famous Dutch artists Toon Hermans, Wim Sonneveld, Willeke Alberti and Gerarrd Cox. He also did the background music in some of the seasons of the Bassie & Adriaan series and composed many of the soundtracks of attractions of the theme park De Efteling.
His career started when he responded to an add of Jaap van de Merwe en gets to play with the Leidseplein Cabaret. In 1961 he's asked to play piano for Jan Blaaser and Joop Doderer.
Bos was a composition teacher at the Rotterdams Conservatorium and the music director at the NOS. In 1982 he Stichting Conamus awarded him with the Gouden Harp prize.
