There are at least two artists using the name Ryan Preston:
1) An electronic dance artist from Orlando, Florida
2) A pop musician from the United Kingdom
1) Ryan Preston (born January 11th 1975 in Orlando, Florida and currently living in Lancashire, England) is an American electronic dance/techno artist and former member of electronic rock/dance duo The Stand Down.
He started his music career in 2001 with a college band Unforgettable. The group performed shows in and around Florida and released an album of partly original material before disbanding in 2004, partly due to Ryan's relocation to England. After several months in England, Ryan joined the DJing trio Cryalie but felt he was not allowed enough creative control with the music as he would have liked. He left the group three years later and Cryalie disbanded shortly afterwards after two unsuccessful EPs.
Ryan began work on solo material shortly after he left Cryalie. He produced an EP Positive Negatives in 2007 and released it for free online. He had intended the EP to act as a preview of material he would release as part of his debut album Think, its poor reception instead led him to scrapping the album entirely and starting over. In 2009, partway through the recording of his first album, Ryan formed the group His Only Wish with his partner Nick Walker and their close friends, they released their self-titled album the same year followed by a second album in 2014. Walker unexpectedly passed away shortly after their second album was released. Shortly thereafter, Ryan announced he would retire from music following the release of his upcoming fourth album which he dedicated to Walker.
As a solo artist, Ryan released four albums: Evolution (2010), Closed Doors (2011), Limitless (2013) and Poison (2015).
2) Ryan Preston (born 1986) is a pop musician from the United Kingdom. He has released eleven albums to date: Ryan Preston (2002), Roll Call (2003), Lose Control (2005), Chapter 4 (2009), Statistics Prove Nothing (2010), Extra Terrestrial (2011), A (2013), Sugar Free (2014), RΞΔL (2016), Perfect Human (2017) and The Life and Death (2018).
