Biography
S. A. Fred has been releasing music on the Internet since 1998. He is probably best known for his "Ambient Drum & Bass" tracks which first surfaced on MP3.com. Inspired by such diverse artists as Vangelis, Autechre, FSOL, DJ Shadow, Tangerine Dream, and Kraftwerk his music explores many genres. He is self confessed old school "Analogue" head, stuck in a late 70's, early 80's time warp, making music with knobs and sliders and an array of tripped out effects.
His sound is typically a rich multilayered ambient environment with beats.
