Biography
Born in Battambang, Cambodia. The Artist Satiya Oaw Cambodian Australian, is a well established singer-songwriter. He began his career at a singing contest in Sydney, Australia in 2005 and not to our surprise. He won the competition, it was from there that he saw his part as an Artist.
By 2007 Satiya picked up his first guitar and started to take more notice in the instrument of music. This enable him to further his knowledge in songwriting for others. Satiya have listens to the Golden Voice of Khmer Music such as legendary Artist Sinn Sisamouth, Ros Soreysothea, Houy Meas, and many more. Satiya also stayed true to current times by listening to R&B music from USA, Europe and Asia.
Remaining true to his style, he started focusing on current Khmer Music and notice there was a void. The Music Industry in Cambodia is still trying to find their identity to the new generation as well as the international market. With a deep passion for music, Satiya wanted to push the boundaries and started composing and writing for himself. By 2016, determined and focus. Satiya release his first official single title "I Never Said Goodbye."
Satiya first single was a success, the video went viral and fans of Satiya started to re-shared "I Never Said Goodbye" MV.
This is the beginning of the Satiya.
