SAXD (sacked)
SAXD (sacked) was established in January 2008 by JA, the one and only member. JA handles the Computer/8-Track/bass.
SAXD is the name JA decided to put his music under. JA wanted something short and simple but just about everything was taken on the plethora of social/music websites. A misspelling of sacked worked and SAXD was born!
SAXD's genre however is still a mixed bag, it's a little of many things. More specifically Instrumental Rock, on the Lo-FI side and Independent. SAXD has mainly an upbeat melodic sound with a hint of sadness. JA still has not found another band SAXD sounds like. The odd thing of SAXD's sound is that it doesn't fit into JA's favorite genres. In fact it is quite the opposite!
SAXD's basic influences are: JA's Parents Music: Classical, 40's, Big Band. JA's Music: 80's, New Age, Metal and a lot of stuff in between. Other Influences Include: Religion, Conspiracy Theories, The Venus Project, Douglas Adams, Thomas Paine, to name a few.
