Sometimes I get sad because I have a bad day at work or because my wife keeps fucking that other guy or because the universe keeps marching towards its inevitable heat death and everything that man has built will dissolve and blow away like smoke in the wind or because I get a really annoying hangnail but then I put on Sam Cooke and pretty soon I’m feeling alright and twisting the night away

Один из лучших исполнителей в истории соул-музыки. Если не лучший! Альбом "Twistin' the Night Away" просто высший класс.

I agree, it was a great watch, though I found the "government conspiracy plot" angle a little forced. The investigation was definitely bungled though.

At points, yeah but I feel in the context of black Americans of influence historically being stripped of their voices through defamation, imprisonment, assassination etc. it was important to acknowledge in some way. That being said, I don't think it was a govt. conspiracy but it was definitely mishandled and covered up by local authorities.

Please do not compare hip hop to jazz, soul, rnb, funk, blues. They aren't comparable in quality.

because hip hop is also made by black Americans and an integral part of Afro-American culture?
