Biography
Sam Wilkes (born July 22, 1991) is an American electric bassist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music producer. He studied funk and R&B at USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles, where he met frequent collaborator Sam Gendel. Wilkes sews 21st century electronic music together with ambient jazz, pivoting to indie rock and chamber pop in recent years. His versatile sound captures the emotional facets of each genre he explores, earning his dynamic and curious records critical acclaim.
