Biography
Sandra Rhodes (born Sandra I. Rhodes in Memphis), also known as Sandra "Chalmers" Rhodes or Sandra Chalmers, is an American singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. As well as her 1973 album, "Where's Your Love Been", she recorded with her sister Donna Rhodes in the 1960s as The Lonesome Rhodes and later as a member of Rhodes, Chalmers & Rhodes.
Born into a musical family (her father was "Dusty" Rhodes, who performed with his siblings in the group "Slim" Rhodes & His Mountaineers), Rhodes made her recording debut as half of the Rhodes Sisters, a duo she formed with her sister Donna Rhodes that cut a few singles for the Penthouse, Dot, and Dial labels in 1964 and 1965. The duo then recorded for RCA as The Lonesome Rhodes from 1967 to 1968, including a 1968 album called Sandy & Donna. She later recorded as a member of Rhodes, Chalmers & Rhodes.
