Biography
Saq is a thrash metal/hardcore band from St. Margate, Florida that formed in the year 1995. The band was started by Mike Rivera (vocals, guitar) and Bill Bryant. Saq only had demos between the years in 1995-2001 and then released a couple of full-length albums more into the early part of the 21st century. They started off with Demo 1995. Then they followed it up with a 2nd demo, Demo 1998. A year later, they released Demo 1999. Their last demo was Demo 2001.
Hook n Mouth Records released Saq's debut album in Foul in 2003. The song You Know was featured on WB's series Smallville. In 2009, they independently released their sophomore album Heavy. It is not known why the band decided to release it independently and not through Hook n Mouth Records.
Saq currently consists of Mike Rivera (vocals, guitar), Bill Bryant (guitar), Mike DeCamp (bass) and Daniel Rivas (drums). Past members include Clint Jacoby (bass), Alex Oprista (drums), Mauricio Aguilera (drums) and Adam Armaganian (guitar). Saq is currently signed to Hook n Mouth Records.
