Biography
Sarah Mary Chadwick is a New Zealand singer-songwriter.
Before focusing on solo material, Chadwick led the post-grunge band Batrider (formed in Wellington) for 10 years in the 2000s.
After moving to Australia, Chadwick's songwriting drew inspiration from "weird old New Zealand musicians" like Peter Jefferies, Chris Knox, and Australia’s Pip Proud and the way they tinker away and work for decades for "little to no commercial success."
Her solo debut, Eating for Two, was released in 2012. In 2016, she released Roses Always Die, and then Sugar Still Melts in Rain in 2018.
