Biography
The group SARAKINA performs ethnic music originating in the regions of Bulgaria and Macedonia. The objectives of the musicians (students and graduates of music academies) is in capturing the rich musical heritage of classic and unique Balkan compositions. The repertiore of this group is performed by using the original instruments. The ensemble has been playing together since 1999.
members:
Jacek Grekow - graduate of Informatics in Sophia (Bulgaria). 1996 graduate of the Vienna Conservatory and in 2006 graduate of Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw. Co-author of the CD "Kyrilikata" which was created together with Culture Contact Austria and Vienna Integration Fonds.
Jan Mlejnek - graduate of Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw. He worked together with one of the best polish theatres "Wierszalin".
Wojciech Bronakowski - graduate of Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw.
Mateusz Bielski - graduate of Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw.
