Biography
Sascha Lien started out his career at the age of 15 playing in a band with a lineup of four musicians. The band performed originals only – genre: ROCK!
After 3 years he joined a new band named „CZAKAN“ that had just signed a record deal, to be tour-support for „URIAH HEEP“ („Lady In Black“) in the early 90´s.
2 years later the band unfortunately fell apart and so Sascha decided to change his music style and found another band in Frankfurt („LILIAN WHITE“) that would record a great number of songs and play most live-clubs throughout Germany for the next 4 years.
During that time he met drummer/producer FRANK ZUMBROICH, who would work with Sascha for many years until today to produce several Albums for different projects including 2 Solo-Records. In 2001 they were signed by the german label „EDEL“ to release Sascha´s first Solo-Album by the alias „ALEXANDER LIEN – MOMENTARY MAGIC“.
He had nationwide airplay in all major radio stations and managed to reach Number 1 twice for several weeks on WDR2 Radiocharts.
Not only his music but also his unique Show-concept would surprise his audience. His trademark was to combine some of his songs with a magical life performance using custom-made theatrical illusions in a big way! He was booked by one of Germany´s biggest radio stations WDR2 to perform his complete life show in cologne exclusively followed by Several TV performances.
In the meantime he took a trip into another genre and was casted by „BRIAN MAY“ (lead guitarist of he legendary rock band „QUEEN“) for he lead-role of their very own Musical „WE WILL ROCK YOU“ by the famous Rockband „QUEEN“, which plays very successfully in Germany and many other countries around the world. Besides Cologne Sascha also performed this show in Zurich, Switzerland and Vienna, Austria and is currently playing in Stuttgart, Germany.
