If you like the vocals in Arkhaiomelisidonophunikheratos, the singer is Lisa Tani. She had a band called Bossa Bosa and some solo projects before and after joining Stapo. I've made a playlist with some of her songs, including her solo album, her old bands, songs from the Kyoto Uni Light Music Club compilations and a project called "Cafe Vanille", which she was the singer of but wasn't credited with her usual name. Had to do some digging to unearth that one. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4AhnFTdGsVnwMWazaq0B8l7JD5CkGTLu

Discovering this band is possibly one of the best things that ever happened to me.

is there any good timeline for reference as far as their sound/lineup goes? all their ~10's juke stuff on Nunulaxnulan sounds tooootally detached from the bricolage/plunderphonic stuff that they were making mid 00s on Sonore

these guys are like the Japanese electronic counterpart to The Residents; they've got the same crazy experimentation, masked anonymity, weird ass aesthetics and everything. and they're both great too

um,mm the footwork shit is great. it may be a change of direction, but if you're a fan of footwork, you should be excited for SPCS's contributions to the genre. their tracks on a lot of these recent juke compilations have been good to stellar.
