Меня как-то не зацепили. Фишек у них полно, но и откровенной нудятины не меньше.

Honestly think I view this band the way most dudes view Tool, genuinely mind-blowing. Doesn't feel like it was created in this dimensions.

I feel like I'm the only one who hates Paradigm of Beauty, I go out of my way to skip it lol

I love it for its jesterish quality in the context of the album. The lyrics play an important role and really work in synergy with the music. They're really good on this album. Unlike from most bands where they're evocative, but ultimately nonsensical. I believe some might appreciate the whole package more after paying attention to the words. Not that I needed that, as it's catchy as hell.

No shout from versionfiv here? Suspicious. Or just a good band he doesn't know.

Hearts of No Light is monumental, phenomenal. It is impossible to not listen through it from start to finish, and all that in a loop. I didn't expect them to surpass anything from their previous efforts, but they went ahead and did exactly that. HoNL is complex in so many levels that I can't basically describe what I'm listening to, yet... Thumbs up and hats off for Schammasch, can't wait for their concert alongside Enthroned this January.

Well said. It's probably their most melodic effort, yet it doesn't have any bad sides regular mdm has (general cheesiness); it's also most soulful record by them I heard (thanks for cleans on promo song, to which I come back more than often) and it has one of the most beautiful cover arts I've seen in latest years. Generally saying - AOTY pretender, making my Triad Schammasch-Mystifier-Blut Aus Nord.

The new one appeared in my mailbox last Friday, way before its release date. Thanks Schammasch!

The 2017 EP is quite a grower, even before I've seen their stellar live performance (a 1-hour-set as a support band - NICE!). Triangle was one of the rare cases where the 3 CD concept was actually good for something and kept growing from "great" to "amazing". I love how they have their home in black metal and naturally let dozen genres take over the songs. All grüezi the mighty Schammasch!

Finally I saw these guys live again after four years. It's incredible how much they evolved their stage presence and live sound. They played The Maldoror Chants nearly complete plus songs from Triangle and ContraDiction. One of the best live bands out there.

I saw them on the same tour. Had only listened to Sic Lvceat Lvx beforehand, and found it quite boring. Went to the show - was blown away! Fantastic live performance! Also realised that everything past Sic Lvceat Lvx is G O L D. Sic Lvceat Lvx is only a bit boring, not bad though.

I know what you mean. In think it was C.S.R. who said in an interview, they were a bit disappointed how Sic Lvceat Lvx sounded and the songs were not 100% finished in some ways. But also he said this album is very important for the band, so they could evolve

I goddamn love Triangle. It made them one of my favorite bands in no time. Contradiction and Maldoror Chants are great too.

You definitely need to have a seat and take your time with the new release, it's their shortest effort to date but it's Schammasch after all, so it automatically makes it interesting and exploring worthy (and also not to underestimate). After a lot of spins of the new EP I can say that it's really a great one. I obviously had high expectations for this one, and except for the questionable production and the length, there's hardly anything wrong about how this beauty is build and my expectations were fulfilled. Looking forward to whatever is coming next!

Not really my thing, but I agree. It builds up to the end/last track - which is pretty good.

maybe... I listened to it a couple of times, but the problem is not about it be a grower and not a shower, the problem is that this play is so far away from the last full album...
