Biography
Charles Scott Boyer II (October 17, 1947 - February 13, 2018) was American guitarist and singer-songwriter.
Member of Cowboy, The 31st Of February, The Tiffany System.
He was a founding member of the bands Cowboy and the Decoys.
'Please Be With Me' appeared on the second Cowboy album, "Five'll Get You Ten," and was recorded a short time later by Eric Clapton, which was a hit.
Cowboy, which he formed in the late 1960s with Tommy Talton, was signed to Capricorn Records in Macon, Georgia. Cowboy recorded and toured through 1975, including a couple of gigs at New York City's fabled Fillmore East.
The second Cowboy album was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, and Boyer began to meet some of the local players.
