This an unreleased song by Sea Wolf called "The Violet Hour" for the New Moon Soundtrack in stores and online October 16th. Sea Wolf describes themselves in a Vanity Fair interview as a folk-rock band with "sea-shanty instrumentation." Alex Brown Church of Sea Wolf told Vanity Fair that he wrote the song about a girl who is interested in him, but she is somewhat distant and aloof. He is unsure whether she is leading him on or not, and adds a sexy attitude to the Soundtrack. The sound is up-beat, but the lyrics give a dark and steamy tone. The song is said to be played in the movie during a house-party scene. This much anticipated album with big names such as Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Killers are also accompanied with indie-rock gems Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Lykke Li, and Grizzly Bear. This genius collaboration of small and large indie-rock acts make this album reach the Top 10 albums on iTunes.
