Man, I had forgotten, or least taken for granted, how great this album is. I remember I bought it on the same day in October '96 that Tool's Aenima came out (also bought Aenima of course), almost as an afterthought, after seeing Sebadoh's funny "Ocean" video on MTV. Ended up liking Bakesale way more than the pretentious chore that is Aenima. Too bad no other Sebadoh albums come even remotely close to this one. That's Lou on the cover, to those who didn't know.

Just bought the remastered double CD last night at their show. Can anyone confirm that the last track (which should be Together Or Alone) also includes part of Drama Mine? Or was it always like this on the original album? I only listened to this on cassette back in the days, remember those? :-D Anyway, awesome awesome album this is.

jason's songs are as good/better than lou's on this [2] I didn't even realize until recently that all of my favorite songs from the album are loewenstein's work

A lot of people prefer the more lo-fi stuff from Sebadoh; but I think think album is the perfect blend of their sounds.

I understand why this record so highly rated. I mean I had only heard III before recent, but... wow. Big mistake on my part for not checking this out sooner.

Loved them... I saw them live in Bristol but they were completely miserable - they livened up a bit when I shouted to them to cheer up, much to the crowd's amusement so fair play to them - legendary songs

On the backside of the album, the little boy in the middle looks so much like my little brother. That's a bit scary.
