Biography
Shabti is a black/death metal band that formed in Spring of 2008 in Portland, Maine. The primary song writer and only original member is Rob Cook, formerly of the band Kurixis. Over the years, several musicians have performed in the band on bass and drums, including members from Gift of Tongues, Super Order, El Grande and H.O.S.T. The current lineup is Rob on guitar and vocals, Ray (also of Falls of Rauros) on drums and Denis (also of Eastern Spell) on bass. Shabti played many shows in the New England area and released a 4 song self titled EP in 2009, followed by the ep "Labors of the Dead" in 2010. Shabti's first full length cd, Paracusia, is scheduled to be released in Winter of 2013.
