Biography
shak. is a young producer hailing from the city of Venlo in the south of the Netherlands. The Dutch producer quietly crept onto the scene in 2013 with the delightful Empty Rooms EP on INI Movement. As a teenager Shakuru Tajiri began, as many a bedroom producer does, making beats and sampling from the instruments he had laying around the house. Today his sounds, put out under the guise of shak., have come together to the point where he is ready to let go. Dark and downtempo vibes with colorful melodic lines create an atmospheric tone that makes for quite the bedtime mix.
As a producer he is an absolute delight to those who appreciate lo-fi and organic slow tunes. From his bedroom, with the aid of a SP-404 sampler and a guitar he crafts foggy tracks with a fine crusty layer of nostalgia.
