Biography
After forming the band under the initial roster in the summer of 2022, a debut promo video was made to TikTok on June 13th 2022 with the initial guitarist and vocalist shaking an outdoor table/chair combination bench and original audio accompanying the video featuring a very early version of the Shakey Tables song 'Us Against Them'. After going on hiatus shortly after and undergoing a line-up change, Shakey Tables made their first live appearance on December 14th 2022 at the University of Strathclyde Student Union and settled into their new form at the start of the 2023.
This year saw the band performing a series of gigs around Glasgow, beginning at the University of Strathclyde Student Union again on March 28th, McChuills on November 9th, and The Bungalow on December 12th, as well as a private performance on the Tall Ship 'Glenlee' on December 15th. 2023 also saw the band release their debut single 'So Much More' in the form of a home demo to major streaming platforms on October 7th.
In 2024, Shakey Tables began recording the follow-up EP to their debut single on March 3rd at Glasgow's Crikey Studio, as-well-as uploading a solo acoustic version of the Shakey Tables song 'Younger Than Yesterday' to YouTube on March 30th. The band went into the following month with a performance at the University of Strathclyde student union on April 13th as well as a scheduled debut performance at Broadcast on April 28th supporting other local band 'The Euphonics', but due to illness within the band this set was cancelled. Shakey Tables also played an incendiary gig at the famous King Tuts on June 13th in support of Blue Violet, which was earned off of the merit of their previous gigs. Following a series of 'Clyde' updates on social media, their debut EP ' Pink Flamingo Hues' was announced on August 25th, for release on September 7th.
