shamo is a french group of people (jesus2099, sardokar, magus), who were involved in computer music and part of the so called demoscene, founded in 1993 in Paris, France.
Each member of shamo used to track (compose) their tunes on his own, not doing many collaborative tracking, except some “funny” ones like GIGN : Opération BASTOS, 3615 La BOULE au quotidien or les enfants de la balle atomique.
The main tools used were Scream Tracker 3, and later, Impulse Tracker 2, a powerful multi-channel DOS tracker (now discontinued), for which jesus2099 registered.
The only album to date was self-titled shamo and was issued during the year 1998.
The last shamo tune was released the 1999/07/22 by Magus : The Wanderer & the Ghost.
Many tunes by Sardokar, including some of the best shamo tunes, remain unreleased.

• Magus is doing some remixing of his material (now under Monochronomicon name)
• Sardokar continues to compose (including handheld phone games' music). Now part of (the beetlestones)
