Biography
Born On March 9th, 1970 in Bossier City, Louisiana, Shannon Christopher Leto is the drummer for the band 30 Seconds To Mars, and older brother of fellow bandmember Jared Leto.
Shannon began playing the drums on his family's kitchen pots and pans at age 4, but by 12, he had his very first kit, and has constantly worked on improving his technique, inspired by other drummers such as John Bonham, Stewart Copeland, Keith Moon, Nick Mason, and Lars Ulrich.
So far, he has 3 tattoos: The 30 Seconds To Mars glyphics along the inside of his right forearm, a large 'abstract painting' on his left shoulder, and an image of Earth between his shoulderblades on his back, and has one piercing in his left earlobe.
His interests include art, writing and photography (He's a professional photographer.). He can also play the piano and guitar, and likes music by The Cure, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Police, Steely Dan and Bullet For My Valentine.
