Biography
Shay Watson has written songs for bands and solo artists such as Grammy Winning DC Talk's (and Newsboys)'s Michael Tait, Word Recording Artists-Sidewalk Prophets, Fox Sports, Grammy Nominees, Sonicflood, his own duo 'Watson & Nash' and James Clay amongst others.
With chart success in Europe under his belt and a number of songs cut and singled to radio by various artists in the United States, Shay has carved out a place for himself in the global music community as a songwriter, artist and producer. Shay is actively involved in child advocacy and is an artist/spokesman for Mission of Mercy, a Christian relief organization that helps find sponsors for poverty stricken children in underprivileged areas of the world.
Recorded, wrote with, opened for and or performed on playbill with numerous artists including: DC Talk's Michael Tait, Curb recording artists-Selah, Switchfoot's Jon Foreman, Sony recording artist- Gretchen Wilson, Sparrow recording artists-The Elms, Platinum selling artist Tammy Cochran, Curb recording artist-Deborah Allen, Former Inpop Recording artist James Clay, T. Graham Brown, Derek Webb, Sandra McCracken, Ronnie McDowell, Billy Joe Royal, The Jordanaires, Holly Dunn, The Ladds, Anti-Records recording artist-Jolie Holland, Word recording artists-Sidewalk Prophets and many others.
Songs have been recorded by various label and indie artists and heard internationally on television and radio.
