Biography
She Roars! is like a blender. A blender of many things. bands, music, sounds, backgrounds, people and fun times.
Hailing from Fredericton NB, all the members of She Roars! have grown up, lived and played in bands as long as they can remember. Each member of She Roars! has either played together in previous bands, or still plays in other bands as well as SR!. Max LeBlanc (guitar/vocals) has played guitar in his share of bands. Kyle Clark (drums) has toured cross-canada with Ontario metal band Rosesdead and both, Max and Kyle were prominent parts of local metal/rock band Modern Machine. Chris McIntosh (bass/vocals) is still an active part of Fredericton hardcore group The Sea Divides.
While all members have primarily heavier backgrounds, from metal to punk, all share a love for making a lighter sound and once Max and Kyle moved in together in the Fall of 2007 and started sharing ideas for songs, SR! began.
The band was officially complete when bassist Chris McIntosh took the low end position full time and by June 2008 the band had played shows at the Capital Bar and finished twelve complete songs, with many more in the works.
She Roars! has been said to have an involving and exciting stage show that strongly encourages crowd participation, and more importantly crowd satisfaction. The songs range from simple tunes about summer getaways, to poppy songs with singable melodies to some more thought-out ballads expressing singer Max LeBlanc’s thoughts on things like university life and the way people are.
The Band has released an EP in early August 2008 recorded by local music company, Forward Music Group, and things aren’t going to stop there. The band has more songs on the way as well as plans to play out of province on short tours and share what they have got to give with anyone who is up for good tunes, good times and good friends. Come share a pint and hang with She Roars!
