Sheila Stewart is one of Scotland's best, and best loved traditional singers. In the field of traditional music, she is totally unique. Sheila's family tradition of song and story is rooted in one of the oldest oral cultures in Europe, kept alive among the travelling people. First recorded by Hamish Henderson in 1950, she has the unmistakeable style of singing that goes straight to the heart of the listener. She is also the Last in the Line of the traveller/ballad singers of Perthshire. http://www.lastintheline.co.uk/sheilastewart.htm.
