Biography
Sheraff (was number one) was born on september 2004. It's the combination of 4 slightly (even completely) deranged boys, convinced that rock 'n' roll is not dead and that Elvis was just a harbinger prophet. Their musical background is too huge to make an exhaustive list ; but let's just say a propensity to good-looking riffs, bloody rhythms and every women fantasies (The Hives, Queens of The Stone Age, AC/DC, Thee Headcoats, Blues Explosion, Jet…).
Daddy, daddy, tell me more about Sheraff ! What kind of mad music did they play ? Yes when in 25 years, your child asks you this, what will you answer ? Parking-punk-rock, Garage-western-rock, Psycho-pop-rock ? The labels, as long as they can get, are always way too short. Sheraff (was number one) only stands for one thing : sound and power playing live, an overwhelming energy making you want to twist and shout.
Each performance will contaminate you with the madness of these four firebrands and make you want to sing along their surreal and unbreakable chorus. These performances took place at Le Gibus, Le New Morning, Le Nouveau Casino, La Lune des Pirates, L'Élysée-Montmartre, Le Bar Three, L'Intermédiaire, l'Olympia etc.
Faced to this increasing demand (both gigs and crowd), Sheraff (was number one) recorded their first indie 4 tracks EP "First Class". It is out since February 2006 and some of the songs are already available to download for free on the internet.
The new single "Playin' in Trees" is out since the 2nd October 2006 on the indie record label, Blast Off…
