Biography
Shruti Haasan (born January 28, 1986) is an Indian singer and actress. Her parents are the noted actors, Kamal Haasan and Sarika.
Shruti Haasan has sung in various Indian movies including Thevar Magan (Tamil), Chachi 420 (Hindi) and Hey Ram (Bilingual - both Hindi and Tamil). Shruti Haasan has most recently sung the song "Adiye Kolluthe" in a 2008 Tamil film, Gautham Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram, under the composition of Harris Jayaraj. As of October 2008, Shruti Haasan, as lead singer of "Shruti Haasan and the Extramentals", is midway through her untitled debut album (English, fusion), which she has composed, written and sung, and is set for release in 2009.
