SIDECAR RADIO have been playing fierce rock n roll for since 2002. They play what esteemed scientists refer to as "Garaggae," or "Urban Groove Rock for the Soul," a fiery fusion of rock and reggae with hip hop undertones. These same scientists have also stated that SIDECAR RADIO draws comparisons to Sublime, 311, Rustic Overtones, the Police & the Red Hot Chili Peppers. SIDECAR RADIO has toured all over the Northeast Corner of the North America and has shared bills with Paranoid Social Club, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, the Misfits, Sage Francis, MorningWood, As Fast As, Badfish, Ryan Montableu Band, Lake Trout, Averi, State Radio, Kevin Devine, Afroman, Pete Francis (of Dispatch,) Gavin Castleton (of Gruvis Malt,) Spouse, Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover, Sucka Brown & Michael Glabicki (of Rusted Root.) Their debut album, SOUNDTRACK FROM THE UPSIDE, was released November 1st, 2005 and features guest spots from members of Rustic Overtones, Paranoid Social Club, Loverless, El Grande, Adam Flaherty Noise Machine and Trumystic. The Portland Phoenix said it was "one of the more eagerly anticipated local releases of the past few years." Named BEST ROCK ACT in the 2006 Portland Phoenix Best Music Poll.
