I usually love folk of this style, but for some reason this project really grates on my nerves. The repetition of the vocals and the violin combined eats at my skull. Disappointing, because I really wanted to like it.

High Broad Field is something magical. I know I usually have a fondness for the first album I hear of a band, but I doubt that is the only thing going on here. It's a fantastic album with great lyrics and I've been listening to it regularly ever since I first heard it.

Hello, MattHowden. You shouldn't criticise yourself and call your first album (forbid the sun's escape) rubbish. It is definitely not! "No Tears" and "Barley" are among the best songs of yours. "The Line And The Hook" is also a very solid and distinctive work with such different songs on it. Pretty much advisable to everybody.

But (seriously) what would I know? I just write them and am maybe too close to judge. But just so we are clear here, NOT the first one, he he ;)

All of them. As for me, I prefer their first one. But all other ones have many great songs.
